   • "Creator" refers to any individual or entity accessing or using our Services to encrypt and protect their games. Creators are subject to subscription fees as outlined in these Terms.
   • "Player" refers to any end-user who is granted access to a Creator's game by the Creator, through valid subscription platforms such as Patreon, Subscribestar, or authorized purchases on Itch.io or Steam. Players are not directly charged for using our Services to decrypt games.
   • "Games" refer to the Ren'Py and RPGM games protected by MCAP Protect's Services.
   • "Content" refers to any data, information, or materials uploaded, transmitted, or accessed through our Services.
2. License
   • MCAP Protect grants Creators a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use our Services solely for the purpose of protecting their Ren'Py and RPGM games. This license is subject to compliance with these Terms and any additional terms and policies provided by MCAP Protect.
   • Players are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to decrypt and access Games encrypted by our Services, subject to the terms defined by the Creator and their respective distribution platform (e.g., Patreon, Subscribestar, Itch.io, or Steam).
3. Payment Terms
   • Players are not charged a fee by MCAP Protect for decrypting games.
   • Subscription Fees: By using our Services, Creators agree to pay the applicable subscription fees based on their chosen pricing tier.
   • Setup Costs: Setup costs are one-time fees associated with activating a Creator's subscription, configuring your account and integrating with your build and deployment processes. Setup costs vary depending on your chosen pricing tier.
   • Pricing Tiers: MCAP Protect offers multiple pricing tiers for Creators with varying features and usage limits. Please refer to our pricing page for detailed information on each tier.
   • Third-Party Charges: Creators are responsible for managing any additional charges related to third-party distribution platforms, such as Patreon, Subscribestar, or storefronts like Itch.io or Steam.
4. User Responsibilities
   • Creators are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the use of our Services.
   • Players must comply with any terms established by the Creator or their chosen distribution platform when accessing protected games.
5. Intellectual Property
   • Creators retain ownership of their Games and Content.
   • Players do not acquire any rights to the Creator’s intellectual property beyond the limited right to access and play Games as permitted by the Creator.
   • MCAP Protect retains all rights, title, and interest in and to our Services, including all intellectual property rights.
   • MCAP Protect does not claim ownership of any user-generated Content.
6. Limitation of Liability
   • MCAP Protect strives to provide reliable and secure Services. However, we do not guarantee that our Services will prevent your game from being pirated or unauthorized distribution.
   • While our anti-piracy measures are designed to mitigate the risk of piracy, we cannot guarantee absolute protection against unauthorized access or distribution of your games.
   • In no event shall MCAP Protect be liable for any damages arising out of or in connection with the unauthorized distribution or piracy of your games, including but not limited to lost revenue, reputational damage, or intellectual property infringement.
7. Termination
   • MCAP Protect reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to our Services at any time for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms or failure to pay subscription fees.
8. Modifications
   • MCAP Protect reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time without prior notice. By continuing to use our Services after any such changes, you agree to be bound by the modified Terms.
9. Governing Law
   • These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which MCAP Protect operates.
